WSD Video Recording Challenge creates a unique opportunity for string players to unite by our passion for music. From the young to the old, the amateurs to the professionals, we want to be an ambassador to music playing and inspire the next person to play a stringed instrument.

WSD Video Recording Challenge creates a unique opportunity for string players to unite by our passion for music. From the young to the old, the amateurs to the professionals, we want to be an ambassador to music playing and inspire the next person to play a stringed instrument.
2. Objective of Video Recording
- Show the element that playing music is fun and being able to draw the attention of viewers.
- Exhibit the music in the most creative form.
3. Criteria
- Taking part in the WSD Challenge is free of charge.
- No limit to participating age and nationality.
- The music is originally written for 2 violins and 1 cello. Participating ensemble need not follow this instrumentation but it must be represented by stringed instruments (violin, viola and cello).
- No limit in number of musicians in the video BUT all original written scores must be clearly represented in the recording.
Score - Enhancement of music score is allowed but based on original score.
- Transcription of any part is allowed.
- Participants cannot claim legal rights to recordings, photos or broadcasts that may be made in connection with the competition. All legal rights are reserved by WSD and no fee is payable to any participants for their contribution, photos, recordings or television broadcasts.
- Organiser reserves the right to modify or change the regulations, schedules and other information related to the WSD.
- WSD Challenge participants must implicitly and unconditionally accept the rules of the statute and of all regulations and must observe them, failure to adhere to regulations will cause their exclusion from the challenge.
4. Prizes
- Winners will receive an attractive Tong Ming Xi Cash Voucher of SGD1000 and a musical outing to share the stage with David Loke and/or Lorong Boys
- The final selection of winners will be based solely on the video recordings submitted.
- The jury’s decisions are unquestionable and final. No appeals will be considered and the comments will be not provided. Comments made by the jury will not be disclosed.
